The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center is a dynamic technology driven work place. We answer all 911 and non-emergency telephone calls from county residents in need of police, fire or EMS services. We gather information about reported events and use the radio system to relay information to field units, monitor field unit's safety and log information we gather.

Dispatch systems include telephone, radio and CAD (computer aided dispatch) and are the latest digital technologies.

Dispatchers perform as a team with partner dispatchers and field units to effectively prioritize calls for service. Dispatch Teams rotate shifts between Day and Nights with every other weekend scheduled as days off. Dispatch is shift work that includes weekends, many holidays and opportunities for overtime shifts.
