Advocates is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to support a bright and active young man with a developmental disability. He and his family are looking for a Mentor to assist him with working on his goals both at home and in his community.

Goals include:
Recreational activities - going to the YMCA, finding new activities
Social skills - making community connections and friendships
Independent living skills - personal hygiene, budgeting

Seeking someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.


Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency. In addition to hourly compensation, employees of Advocates can qualify for comprehensive health, dental, and other benefits including paid time off.


Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.

Hours and days of work

Two weekdays per week (11:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

Full time opportunities may be available.


Pay rate: $18 - $20 per hour
