Director, HRBP (Remote - Preferred locations: Westford, MA; Windsor Locks, CT; Cedar Rapids, IA; Vergennes, VT; Houston, TX) Job at Collins Aerospace
This dynamic and fast-paced role will be responsible for leading HR initiatives supporting the ISR & Space teams across multiple locations in the US and international sites (~2500 employees). This position collaborates with HR and business leadership to envision and execute talent strategies that ensure the business has a thriving workforce for today and the future. The position provides leadership on various Human Resources initiatives surrounding employee engagement, talent development, leadership effectiveness, organization effectiveness and other HR solutions designed to support the business objectives and talent needs. In this role, you will operate independently and in partnership with the Mission Systems HR Leadership Team, to drive consistency, integration, and communication.
This position can be worked remotely with regular travel. Preferred location is one of the Mission System major locations: Westford, MA; Windsor Locks, CT; Cedar Rapids, IA; Vergennes, VT; Houston, TX
Primary Responsibilities
Own and execute the people strategy for Mission Systems ISR & Space, in close collaboration with functional leaders and HR colleagues
Act as a business partner, strategic planner, trusted advisor, relationship builder, talent champion and culture/change ambassador for leaders and employees in ISR & Space
Coach, partner and counsel leaders on topics from team effectiveness and talent development to culture transformation and diversity, equity and inclusion
Lead projects and assignments related to annual HR processes, including strategic planning, compensation planning, succession planning workforce planning, employee engagement and other key processes
Maintain a strong partnership with Collins HR colleagues, including HR Partners, Employee Relations Partners, Communities of Expertise and People Services, to efficiently support business needs
Manage a global team of HR Partners, providing guidance and coaching, assessing performance and actively developing talent
Orchestrate key talent movement with an aim towards building diverse teams, a One Collins culture and robust succession
Ability to travel up to 25%, domestic and international.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 14 years prior relevant experience OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 18 years of relevant experience is Required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred locations: Westford, MA; Windsor Locks, CT; Cedar Rapids, IA; Vergennes, VT; Houston, TX or another Mission Systems site
Proven experience serving as the prime consultant and coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.
Strong business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.
Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, compensation, performance development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and org. effectiveness).
Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with proposed solutions that will collaboratively drive change throughout their organizations.
Strong project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.
Strong analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data and expertise in systems, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations.
