Dispatcher & Supervisor needed!

This position will coordinate and manage the schedules of truck drivers to ensure products and goods are picked up and delivered in a timely manner. They receive calls for truck services and contact their fleet of truck drivers to arrange the pickups and deliveries. This position will also supervise and manage the yard staff for timely loading of product on the trucks.

Our batching, placement, and molding procedures all contribute to the production of durable and dependable concrete products that meet or exceed state and federal guidelines. We strive daily to deliver these products in a safe and timely manner to our customers throughout northern Indiana and northwest Ohio."

Accountabilities:

• Managing truck drivers’ schedules and routes
• Scheduling freight to be picked up and delivered
• Providing shipping details to customers
• Reviewing logs of truck drivers
• Documenting all calls, deliveries, routes and times for pickups and deliveries
• Completing paperwork related to shipments, such as invoices
• Handling customer complaints and inquiries
• Negotiating rates and delivery time lines
• Supervises yard and trucking staff; coordinates schedules to meet deadlines for loading the trucks to deliver product
• Monitory freight movement using computer software applications
• Ensure compliance to safety standards and procedures

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years relevant experience in trucking dispatch
• Knowledge of trucking regulations and laws
• Knowledge of shipping, trucking and logistics work
• Technology skills, will utilize transportation management software
• Ability to resolve problems and coordinate through difficult situations
• Strong organizational &time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
