The Doughnut Peddler is an established, 30-year-old company that manufactures and distributes fresh bakery products to thousands of locations nightly. This formerly small family business has grown up but still maintains the benefits of a close-knit culture, while rapidly expanding scale over recent years with new investment in the organization and talent. Our combined bakeries manufacture millions of fresh bakery items every week, and our distribution teams drive enough miles each day to circle the earth to ensure that fresh products are available each morning.

Our Distribution Supervisor plays a critical role as the primary driving force of ensuring smooth route deliveries to our local customers. We are seeking a self-starter with a can-do attitude and a passion for quality, customer service, and employee development.

Responsibilities of the job include:

• Conducting interviews with qualified applicants and making hiring decisions
• Training new hires to meet high corporate standards
• Performing regular coachings with employees and enforcing disciplinary action when necessary as well as maintaining highest safety practices
• Ensuring that team consistently adheres to best safety practices
• Being on call to answer employee questions, assist with vehicle breakdowns, and handle accidents/injuries
• Assisting with staffing shortages by driving a route if needed
• Washing the interior and exterior of fleet vehicles
• Performing daily/weekly vehicle inspections; identifying and addressing any issues found
• Completing necessary reporting and paperwork functions with a high degree of accuracy
• Maintaining a clean, organized Distribution Center at all times

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have open availability, any 7 days of the week
• Availability to work any afternoon/night of the week (2nd/3rd shifts)
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• 2+ years of experience in a distribution center setting
• 2+ years of distribution driving experience
• 2+ years of fleet safety and risk mitigation
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
• Ability to pass drug test (marijuana use is not permitted)
• Ability to provide clean MVR
• Ability to pass criminal background check (prior convictions are not automatic disqualifiers)

Typical schedule is 5 days per week including some weekends. 3 days are reserved for operational and shop duties (day starts ~10am), 2 days the supervisor delivers a small route, conducts routine maintenance, and performs operational duties (day starts anywhere from 1p-5p depending on business needs).
