United Health Services is seeking a Driver to join our Wilson Medical Center team in Johnson City, NY. This is a benefits-eligible position.
Shift: Day/Evening
Hours per week: 20
Salary range: $17.83 - $24.13/hour, depending on experience

Driver Position Overview
As part of Wilson Medical Center’s Courier Services Team, the Driver is responsible for Safely and efficiently transporting supplies, specimens, equipment, mail and passengers throughout the UHS system and other non UHS locations in compliance with departmental and UHS policy, Service Delivery Standards and departmental Quality Improvement guidelines.
UHS Wilson Medical Center is a 280-bed hospital and Level II Trauma Center. In this position, you’ll serve a medical facility that is a regional leader in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery and neurosciences, cancer care, maternity and high-risk obstetrics, neonatal intensive care, blood disorder treatment, and physical therapy and rehabilitation. Wilson is a bustling hospital and is a 24-hour designated stroke and chest pain center.
Driver Responsibilities and Expectations
Operates department vehicles (car, van, and pickup truck).
Delivers and collects medical supplies, specimens, equipment, pharmacy, medical records, furniture, mail and niscellaneous items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
Operates hydraulic lift on vehicles as necessary.
Provides excellent customer service
Performs daily and weekly vehicle checks.
Inputs and completes daily driver applications (Apps)
Reports and documents all accidents.
Adheres to assigned routes and follows time schedule
Safely operates cell phones per UHS policy and DMV law.
Follows all motor vehicle regulations and state laws.
Performs duties in warehouse to include but not limited to equipment and furniture management.
Safely and effectively utilizes hand carts, dolly’s, pallet jacks, etc. to move items whenever necessary.
Actively participates in move management projects as assigned (office/department/facility moves).
Inventories and restocks supplies.
Performs and/or schedules service or repair to vehicles as necessary.
Position Qualifications
Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in utilizing technology devices
Preferred:
Two years' driving experience.
Customer service,organizational, communication, and time management skills
Previous Health Care experience
Extensive knowledge of the operating route areas
