Job Summary:


This position leads and directs significant portions of the Corporate Finance activities of the Finance/Treasury function. This focuses on financing including directing all debt issuance and managing and evaluating cost of capital, and long term planning related to Kaiser’s balance sheet and financial strength, working directly with the CFO and SVP- Treasurer. This position supports executive level functional leaders in ensuring that financial plans provide appropriate and sufficient levels of economic capital and liquidity, and in communicating the appropriateness of the Program’s financial position to external stakeholders. This position frequently supports Program leadership with ad hoc projects involving complex financial issues.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, issuance and administration of Kaiser’s tax-exempt and taxable bonds and other financing programs.
  • Lead external credit relationships with investors, banks and ratings agencies.
  • Lead all aspects of post-issuance compliance of tax-exempt financings.
  • Partner with National Facilities Services and regional finance in developing and reviewing ownership and financing options for real estate.
  • Develop and maintain the program wide modeling of balance sheet and cash flow for budgets, strategic plans and other purposes in support of the CFO.
  • Identify and monitor metrics and benchmarks to ensure sustainability and effective communication with Kaiser’s internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and model financial risks and advise the CFO and Treasurer in assuring availability and appropriateness of Kaiser’s capital and liquidity.
  • Direct the programs efforts to develop and be thought leaders on cost of capital and financial metrics for not for profit corporations, and support understanding of risks and opportunities related to Kaiser’s tax-exempt and not for profit status.
  • Support and advise Government Relations, legal, marketing and communications departments in communicating around balance sheet strength and stability.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management and Own Risk Solvency Assessment development and implementation, particularly in the area of economic capital sufficiency and risk.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years in analytic and management roles in corporate finance and/or financial planning and analysis.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other related subject.

License, Certification, Registration
  • N/A

Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in taxable and/or tax-exempt capital markets and financial modeling.
  • In depth understanding of concepts relating to cost of capital, valuation and balance sheet analysis.

This position has a target base salary of $229,500 to $286,875 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
