Eligibility Specialist Job at Independent Living Systems
Position Summary:
The primary focus is to maintain current enrollee eligibility while avoiding gaps in Medicaid coverage. This position works closely with case management to timely provide updated case information to DCF, to assure Medicaid eligibility for the SMMC Ling Term plus members.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for sending and tracking communications for Medicaid Recertification to enrollees. This includes following up with submitted recertification and submissions to DCF.
- Complete submission of Medicaid renewals online, if not timely completed by enrollee or designated representative.
- Ensure punctual review of Notice of Action letters for enrollees to include obtaining any requested documents.
- Continual communication and follow up with case management team in preparation of obtaining document request from DCF to maintain eligibility.
- Assist enrollee or designated representative in completion of Medicaid application, recertifications or applicable assistance program.
- Monitor and advise case management of any returned mail received from enrollee, in order to assure accurate demographic data.
- Provide enrollees and designated representatives with information on re-certification dates and or benefit related questions.
- Other non -essential duties assigned.
