Primary Responsibilities
Jviation, a Woolpert Company is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Planner to work within our Aviation Department and as a team member of our environmental and planning division in our Denver, CO or Cincinnati, OH offices (remote opportunities available for the right candidate). This position will have the following responsibilities:
Preparation of NEPA related documents
Provide technical expertise to the Aviation Department as well as other company departments as needed
Plan, prepare, and analyze technical studies and documents
Assist with all facets of environmental projects, including the development of scope, budget, and schedule
Prepare graphics and work with graphic designers as needed
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science, airport planning, land use planning or a related field
Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with NEPA
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent writing and communication skills (in person, by telephone, and email);
Self-motivated, able to identify new work tasks, ability to be proactive, and think on your feet.
Organized and able to manage time efficiently
Excellent research and problem-solving skills
Willing to learn new tasks and take on new roles
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred
Minimum 2 years of environmental and/or NEPA planning
Demonstrated knowledge of the FAA environmental process
Experience with ArcGIS software
Experience in writing sustainability and resiliency plans
