Fabrication Specialist B
- The Fabrication Specialist performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
- Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
- Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
- Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
- Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
- Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
- Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
- The Fabrication Specialist performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
- Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
- Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
Selected Fabrication Specialist candidates will be producing airplane parts in a role that can vary from detail parts machining to sub-assemblies to larger assemblies.
This position is on-site and there are 1st and 2nd shifts available. Possibility for overtime as well.
High school diploma or GED.
1 or more years’ related experience in one of the following areas:
Aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing.
Successfully completing training is a contingency for this assignment
Must be computer literate and able to navigate computer
Looking for candidates who are mechanically inclined, familiar with many hand and power tools, familiar with measurement tools, and have manufacturing experience.
