Farmer’s Market Assistant Job at ONEgeneration
General Position Overview:
The farmer’s market assistant will be responsible for assisting with on-site operations of the Sunday farmers market.
The Farmers market assistant Coordinator helps to ensure that facilities are compliant with health and safety standards and serve the needs of the program.
This position will work up to eight hours every Sunday (approximately 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clear, safe, and sanitary environment in all areas of the internal and external facility.
- Assists with overseeing market site and market day activities.
- Assists with set up and teardown of market site and/or surrounding campus area which may include vendor booths, community booths, entertainment equipment, signage, etc.
- Assists with enforcing market rules to ensure safety and equality for vendors and guests.
- Works cooperatively with market manager, recreation, public works and other city staff.
- Provides information to visitors about the farmers market.
- Familiar with emergency and accident procedures and ability to respond appropriately.
- Assists with weekly attendance reports.
- Assists with maintaining and stocking site restroom supplies.
- Performs other duties and assumes responsibilities as apparent or assigned by the market manager.
Qualifications:
Must maintain current California Driver License and insurance. Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. Ability to take direction and work independently. Basic janitorial and handyman skills required. Be able to pass a background check.

Pay: $16.04 - $17.00 per hour
