We are seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of forklift operator in Elk Grove Village, IL.

A forklift operator would be responsible for duties such as receiving inbound cargo, reweighing and capturing dimensions of cargo, obtaining correct piece counts, labeling cargo, and creating manifests for outbound line haul trucks, to name a few.

Forklift Operator Daily Duties to include:

- Load/ Unload trucks with Forklift (Including pre and post safety inspection)

- Checking cargo integrity

- Checking for accurate piece count.

- Housekeeping

- General Warehouse duties

- Must be able to lift 25 to 50 lbs at times.

- Airline operation experience a plus.

A forklift operator should:

- Communicate effectively to other dock workers and office personnel

- Be able to adapt to change and coordinate accordingly, such as an early or late arriving truck

- Be available to customers for offload

- Have adequate self-monitoring skills, knowing when to help a customer and when to load/unload Land Air line haul trucks

- Have strong organizational skills

- Be able to field and respond to problems in a timely manner

- Enforce company and government procedures and policies through their work

Multiple Shifts Available, and can combine to fit your schedule:

Day Shift: Monday through Friday 06:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, 08:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Evening Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 PM to 03:00 AM

Weekend Shift: Saturday and Sunday 08:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
