Our facilities are located in Syosset, NY and Levittown, NY. We are currently hiring for both sites.

Variety Child Learning Center (VCLC) is a not-for-profit agency providing educational and therapeutic services to young children with disabilities. We are seeking Full and Part Time Special Education Teacher Aides/Teacher Assistants for children 2 to 8 years old.

You will assist in such duties as working with individual students or groups of students on special instructional projects; providing teachers with information about students; assisting students in the use of instructional resources; assisting teachers in the development of instructional materials. You will also assist the classroom teacher with room prep, lunch, clean-up, and diapering.

Full Time: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm (Benefit Eligible)

Part Time: Monday-Friday 10:300am - 2:30pm

Job Requirements: Must be a reliable, kind person who is willing to work with children with disabilities in a classroom environment. This role is a physically demanding role. The employee is required to be non-sedentary. High school diploma or GED required.

COVID-19 considerations: If the school closes due to a COVID-19 related circumstance, you must have the ability to work remotely, including but not limited to internet access and device that you can work from (smart phone, I-pad, lap-top).
