Talascend is currently seeking a Government Subcontracts Associate for a contract position with our client in Houston, TX.

OVERVIEW:

The qualified candidate will have exceptional attention to detail skills, a data-driven mindset and analytical problem solver. Our client is looking for someone with government subcontract experience who is determined to meet team goals. This is a contract position with opportunity to go direct based on performance, attendance, and business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work.
• Under direct supervision the candidate will qualify suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, maintains subcontract files in accordance to established procedures.
• Review procurement files to generate subcontract closeout documents and change orders to ensure compliance prior to issuance and closeout of each file to mitigate risk and liability.
• Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
• Ensure subcontract files are in accordance with established procedures prior to closeout.

• Completed undergraduate degree or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of Sam.gov and ability to guide suppliers with registration.
• Experience with working with various internal and external customers.
• Organized and proficient computer skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
