What will you be doing?
Heavy Equipment Operator’s primary function is to operate heavy equipment, including Rubber Tire and Track backhoes, Bulldozers, Scraper, etc., to help with all aspect of the grading operation. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site. The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:
- Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner
- Works with crew to load trucks, dig trenches, ensure slopes are on grade
- Insure maintenance and inspection equipment is performed
- May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
- May perform other related duties such as shovel work, or setting string line
- Maintain a clean job site – pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site(s) each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Perform materials handling and storage.
- Load/unloads trucks and haul materials. Loading and unloading of materials;
The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending as well as periodic lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Job Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Full time + hours
- Able to work nights and weekend when required
