Overview

Oxford Athletic Club is the most extensive private health and fitness club in the Pittsburgh area and is nationally recognized by International Health, Racquet, and Sports Associations (IHRSA) for excellence. We are currently looking for part-time and full-time Housekeeping Attendants, who possess the ability to attend to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail. The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.

Job Duties

• General cleaning of public areas, locker rooms and laundry area
• Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings
• Empty and clean trash containers
• Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers in locker room
• Wipe down glass surfaces
• Sort, wash, load and unload laundry
• Sort, fold and put away clean laundry
• Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
• Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
• Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
• Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
• Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices

Skills and Qualifications

• Weekend and evening availability is required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques, and methods
• Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
• Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
• Applicant must successfully complete all background clearances

Education and Experience

• 1 year housekeeping experience preferred but not necessary

Working Conditions

• Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
• Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)

Compensation

• Part-time and Full-time positions available
• Full-time benefits include PTO, 401k (match), holiday pay, medical, dental and vision insurance, company sponsored short-term and long-term disability, and life insurance
• $13.00-$16.00 depending on experience
