The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia, is in search of a Human Resources Business Partner. This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Human Resources (OHR). The incumbent serves as an HR Business Partner responsible for advising managers and employees on a wide range of recruitment, staffing, and policies and procedures.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Serving as a strategic business partner to management and employees by developing recruitment strategies
- Reviewing position descriptions to determine job qualifications
- Drafting vacancy announcements
- Reviewing and evaluating applications to make a determination regarding qualifications
- Conducting pre-employment background checks
- Providing counsel to OCFO employees on benefit program options
- Providing mentorship, guidance and training to lower level staff
- Maintaining multiple HR databases
- Performing other related duties as assigned
