Job Title: HR Generalist

Job Summary:

Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacture of engineered products found in many different applications and industries. This newly created Human Resources role offers a unique leadership experience to oversee Human Resources Management with responsibility for Employee Life Cycle, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, and HRIS for a manufacturing location while working with site leadership on strategic issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with integrity and discretion.
  • Full-cycle recruitment including sourcing candidates, attending recruiting events, conducting interviews, processing background checks, extending offers, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Conduct training on company policies and benefits, coaching techniques, and communication.
  • Assist employees with general enquiries concerning payroll, policies, and HR processes.
  • Collaborate with external payroll provider to assure effective monthly payroll processing.
  • Coach, support & guide managers with employee matters such as staff development, performance management, compensation, and recruitment.
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and conducting employee engagement activities/events.
  • Manage temporary employees in production and assuring compliance within legal framework.
  • Assist in development and implementation of HR Policies and Procedures.
  • Lead site-wide HR projects as necessary or assigned.
  • Work closely with plant and production managers on employee relations issues including but not limited to communication, conducting investigations, and participating in performance warnings, discipline actions, and terminations.

Skills:

  • Proven experience as HR Generalist in manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) a plus
  • Excellent communication and people skills

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3 years Human Resources experience
  • High School Diploma/GED with 7 years Human Resources experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
