JOB SUMMARY:

Civil Clothing Inc. is seeking an HR Representative to join our fast-growing e-commerce apparel company in Torrance, CA. The HR Representative will support the HR and Payroll departments. Duties include a wide range of support activities to general clerical task such as data entry, maintaining employee database, office administration. The company reserves the right to add, delete or modify duties at any time with or without notice. Duties including but are not limited to and other tasks may be assigned:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to HR team
  • Oversee the onboarding process including desk set-up, IT requisition, new hire orientation
  • Manage benefits administration including invoicereconciliation, explaining benefits and enrollment process
  • Enter deductions in payroll system, manage terminations and cobra administration, and assist with yearly open enrollment
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
  • Assist with employee requests regarding human resources issues, policies, etc...
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll functions including processing timecard, answering employee questions, time off accrual, etc…
  • Responsible for job postings, assist with recruitment, resume screening, interview scheduling
  • Assist with company wide event planning
  • Responsible and maintain daily facility needs such as stocking up supplies, ordering office supplies, beverage, toiletry, etc…
  • Help keeping common areas neat and clean
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to detect inconsistencies in data, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in bookkeeping QuickBooks software, spreadsheets and related Office software
  • Experience in using Paylocity Payroll system
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadline

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum 3+ years in Human Resources and Administration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
