We are looking to hire a Lead Teacher for our growing toddler program! Are you FUN? Can you break into something silly to distract a sad child and make them smile? Do you like to laugh at work, and teach a toddler group in a way that excites them and keeps them interested? Do you like to have silly classroom dance parties? Do you care for the parents the same way you care for their children?

THAT'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR!

Responsibilities:

• Model kind behavior to everyone you interact with.
• Have an excited demeanor to keep our children engaged and excited to learn
• Be aware of student behavior and communicate issues to the director and parents.
• Use our easy to follow curriculum (no you don't have to spend your evenings making your own!). Swap out some activities for your own if you want to change it up!
• Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of your room
• Follow OCFS Regulations and company policies
• Supervise children in a way that assists in their development and friendship interactions, and mitigates the risk of injury during play, etc.
• Serve meals family style and model appropriate table behavior for proper interactions.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment
• Be a helpful and friendly coworker! We're a big team and support each other immensely!
• Perform other tasks as necessary to maintain center operations.

QUALIFICATIONS: There are several ways to qualify! See if one below meets your background:

• Do you have an Associates Degree in Early Childhood or a similar field, AND have 1 year of experience caring for infants and/or toddlers? THEN YOU QUALIFY!
• Do you have your infant/toddler CDA (or similar credential) AND have 2 years of experience caring for children (at least 1yr infant/toddler care)? THEN YOU QUALIFY!
• Are you currently working towards an Associates Degree (or higher), AND have 2 years of experience caring for children (at least 1yr infant/toddler care)? THEN YOU QUALIFY!
• Are you currently working towards your infant/toddler CDA, AND have 2 years of experience caring for children (at least 1yr infant/toddler care)? THEN YOU QUALIFY!

Pay: $16.50 per hour
