Frog Furnishings (A PlayCore Company) based in Olathe Kansas for over 20 years has an opening for an experienced maintenance technician. If you have experience working in a manufacturing environment, we have a position for you.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• When the scope of a maintenance or repair requires an outside vendor to perform the work properly and safely, the technician will coordinate and oversee this activity.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC required.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

• Mathematical aptitude
• Ability to read specifications
• Ability to read measuring devices such as ruler, caliper, dial indicator, micrometer and scale
• Ability to build wood skids using basic carpentry skills
• Ability to make minor repairs to water tanks using basic plumbing knowledge
• Manual dexterity and ability to use all hand tools

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and carry objects while climbing up and down a ladder
• Ability to stand, squat, and walk for up to 12 hours.
