Opening: Permanent, full-time position as a Maintenance Manager for a well-established hardwood lumber company with multiple locations. This position is Nottoway County, VA. AT LEAST 2 YEARS INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Job Description: Perform routine inspections, servicing, minor and major maintenance on and lumber processing equipment in a heavy industrial environment with a constant emphasis on safety.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Your primary responsibility is to assist in creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Perform routine inspections to identify and correct minor or major equipment deficiencies.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks replacement of wear items, bearings, chains, cylinders, motors, drives, as required.
• troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic
• large repairs fabrication, welding, cutting, pipe fitting, installing electrical conduit, and sawmill equipment installation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, uncluttered work area.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Maintenance duties are performed in a non-climate controlled environment whether indoors or out
• Physical fitness: this job requires occasional exertion of more than 100 pounds of force, more than 50 pounds frequently, and more than 20 pounds continuously.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years Dry kiln and/or lumber mill maintenance experience.
• Proficient in cutting and welding.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems electrical controls, gearboxes, photo eye sensors and rebuilding cylinders or assembling hoses.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems is helpful.

Location: Company has multiple locations in the Virginia and North Carolina. This position is for Nottoway County, VA
