ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• Designs mechanical and hydraulic components for refuse vehicles, utilizing PTC Creo and/or Solidworks.
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, cost, and overall customer value.
• Conduct Root Cause/Corrective Action for issues within value stream.
• Work collaboratively with other internal departments.
• Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example.
• Design components for chassis integration.
• Work with customers and chassis manufacturers.
• Responsible for chassis logistics from chassis supplier shipment through delivery to customer.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer preferred.
• Ideal for someone with 1 – 3 years’ work experience in manufacturing engineering roles.
• Ability to work independently and lead small projects teams of cross functional members.
• Excellent communication skills through multiple means (i.e., phone, face to face, and email).
• Ability to use CAD and Microsoft (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other computer programs.
• Use of PTC Creo and/or Solidworks to create designs preferred.
• Dependable with excellent attendance record.
• Frequent travel to chassis manufacturers may be required (up to 20%).
