DESCRIPTION

Busy practice hiring for a front desk receptionist. This position is a vital part of the team and requires the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with our patients, doctors and staff. Compensation based on qualifications and experience. Benefits available after probationary period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome patients/guests and make sure they have arrived for appropriate scheduled appointment and time.
• Completes full patient check in and check out.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments.
• Maintain high level of respect and confidentiality in handling all patient information.
• Responsible for patient reception and client intake.
• Educate patients on office procedures and policies.
• Verifying insurance eligibility and obtaining referrals.
• Collecting balances and copays.
• Answers phones and directs calls appropriately.
• Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts.
• Must possess skills to operate office equipment such as scanner, copier, printer, fax, credit card machines, and other software.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including providing other departments with assistance as needed.
• Able to adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Ability to multi-task and clear communication with patients and staff is mandatory. Must be able to organize and prioritize effectively and simultaneously. Must possess good communication skills, verbally and orally. Must be pleasant and able to deal with the general public and a variety of personalities. QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• One year related experience preferred
