Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Nurse Manager.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for carrying out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision-making related to the steps in the nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides competent, safe and compassionate care based on established NYUHC Patient Care and Nursing Standards. As a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, formulates the initial plan of care with the provider (physicians or nurse practitioner) and collaborates with them to implement a comprehensive patient centered plan of care to achieve expected outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collects, analyzes, and uses data to drive practice changes that integrate quality, safety, patient experience,and productivity metrics for excellent patient and nursing outcomes
- Manages the practice budget with consideration to appropriate staffing, skill mix, patient outcomes, safety and cost efficient use of resources.
- Interviews, hires, develops, guides, counsels, and disciplines practice staff consistent with principles of caring, fair, and professional work environment.
- Promotes patient, physician, and other consumer satisfaction by facilitating excellent customer service by all members of the healthcare team
- Effectively interacts with providers, patients, and family to resolve concerns related to the delivery of healthcare services
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a A Baccalaureate degree in Nursing;. Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York licensure is required. BCLS is also required. Membership in pertinent professional organization preferred. Fluent written and spoken English language skills necessary. Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual and aural acuity to perform responsibilities needed also required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Professional Nurse in New York;Five years of clinical practice in the care of the patient population served; ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion addressing patient/family satisfaction; Progressive leadership; demonstrated in a leadership position or the potential for leadership competency; ability to develop, guide, motivate, nurture, and coach others; participation in service or departmental committees; evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving; Membership in pertinent professional organizations.Emergency room or critical care nursing experience and membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $102,654.58-$102,654.58 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
