Paid Search Manager Job at McKinney
Purpose
Build, execute, and optimize paid search campaigns to achieve client business objectives.
From keyword level performance to recommending adjustments to copy, our goal is to drive the
most effective business results for our clients.
Responsibilities
Build foundation knowledge of paid search from quality scores to bidding
Develop a deep understanding of how search algorithms work from a consumer perspective, paid advertiser perspective, and organic listing perspective.
Learn the fundamentals of SEO and how they impact paid search campaigns
Execute end-to-end campaign execution (setup, optimization, insights, reporting, and billing).
Be consistently curious and inquisitive – learn how platforms work, and more importantly, learn how to game them
Collaborate with internal teams and communicate with media partners to ensure that the campaign is set up to report on the right metrics
Implement conversion and tracking tags that align measurement and optimization with client KPIs
Perform analyses in Excel, Tableau, SQL or Python to mine for insights and solve challenges
Create regular performance reports communicating the highlights to strategy & stewardship team and/or client
Professional Knowledge and Skillsets
Participate in internal team meetings on key topics or with important media/technology partners
Develop time management skills to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks regularly
Experience
2-4 years of experience in working in an advertising or digital marketing environment
Experience paid search, social, programmatic media buying or similar self-service platforms is preferred but not required
Entry-level knowledge of Microsoft excel, Python, Tableau, and/or Google Data Studio
