The Educational & Production Services team within IU Radio & Television Services (WTIU/WFIU) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented person to join the team as a Part-time Scheduling Assistant! This person will report and work directly with our Production Manager to schedule our approx. 50 person-strong part-time production crew each week. Our production crew consists of mainly (but not solely) IU students who assist in the broadcasting of Big 10 Athletic Events, IU Ceremonies, IU Leadership Addresses, etc.

Job Summary


This position is an important team member of IU-Radio & Television Services and the person filling this role will directly support our part-time production crew. Reports to our Production Manager.

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with and schedules production crew members on a weekly basis within our scheduling software system.
  • Verifies accuracy of timesheets against the crew members schedules.
  • Works with our Production Manager to hire new crew personnel
  • Assists with interviewing and/or onboarding of these individuals via communication with the Payroll & HR Assistant of the unit, and with the passing along of RTVS shirts/polos, credentials, etc. to these new part-time workers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or GED

Working Conditions / Demands


This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. The position involves mostly sedentary work, but this person may be required to move around the office and/or campus for production needs. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
