Responsibilities

Ryan Transportation and Shamrock Trading Corporation are looking for a Payables Accountant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in vendor and carrier payment process Shamrock Trading Corporation which includes ensuring accuracy of outgoing payments, ensuring payments are made timely, and ensuring controls are in place to mitigate risk.
• Work directly with clients, carriers, and internal brokers to answer and resolve problems
• Correspond with carriers to obtain paperwork
• Gain understanding of the overall operations of Shamrock Trading Corporation, and the roles that various departments play in the Company
• Assist in reviewing payment processes for controls and efficiencies and implement changes as required.
• Internal/customer reporting and general ledger tasks including month-end
• Additional accounting or operational projects as assigned by Senior, Supervisor, or other members of Management

Qualifications

• Preferred B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance or two years of experience in an administrative or billing environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel
• High energy and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and to manage time effectively
• Requires an ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of employees, managers, and customers
