We are currently seeking a Payroll Manager to join our shared services group located at VITAC in Denver, CO. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a part of our Finance shared services vision through working cross functionally as we continually expand our company footprint. This role will report to the Senior Finance Manager; and have 2 direct reports.

This position is an integral part of our finance organization responsible for oversight on US and Canada payroll processing, and process improvement execution within the function.

Responsibilities:

• Key stakeholder in continuous process improvement in payroll processes
• Special projects, including process documentation and improvements, system updates, integrations, etc to support business operational growth and change initiatives
• Own timely and accurate twice monthly payroll processing for US and Canada; including data integrity review, accurate compensation, withholdings, deductions, and garnishments
• Serves primarily as oversight for end-to-end payroll process, and a back-up as needed
• Serves as subject matter expert on all current and future federal, state, and local payroll filing and compliance requirements for US and Canada
• Key finance business partner cross-functionally including HR, Accounting, and Operations with personnel distributed globally
• Establish a strong relationship with 3rd party payroll processor, ADP
• Preparation of financial variance analytics with commentary on key drivers of payroll to share with management
• Timely and accurate federal, state, and 401k audits support, including any other government, regulatory or tax related filings
• Responsible for new employee on-boarding, and exiting off-boarding
• Mentoring/developing a high performing team
• Assists with employee payroll questions and issues
• Provides support to Accounting and Finance for data to record payroll and benefits
• Other duties and projects as directed

• 5+ years of management experience in a fluid multi-entity payroll function
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Human Resources; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with Certified Payroll Professional designation.
• Experience with payroll ADP WorkForceNow, and strong Excel skills
• Proven administrative and organizational skills including ability to multitask
• Is a change agent who is solution oriented, brings and executes on ideas as it relates to financial acumen
• Strong customer service orientation and proven ability to work with and form rapport with various groups including HR, Operations, and Finance
• Has experience with a large (500+) non-exempt people population
• Has experience with equity, and Canada
• Must be detail oriented and have the ability to focus on and understand complex details related to payroll
• Must be dependable and take appropriate initiative to ensure tasks are completed properly and timely

Our compensation for the Payroll Manager role ranges between $80K-$90k annually and will align with the candidate’s experience and skill set.
