5. Can adapt to learning new computer programs. (Database software, Adobe, Email software, Microsoft Office, and Canva, as well as email marketing platforms).
6. Can work well with a team and also with the members of the organization.
7. You are comfortable attending meetings and providing reports to committees.

- Strong ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to manage volunteer members to help them succeed in achieving the goals of the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft office.
- Ability to work from home or remote office.
Position Details:
Full Time, Salaried Position. This position territory includes the greater Hampton Roads area including Williamsburg. Majority of events/programs this position oversees are based in Hampton Roads with up to 15% travel to Richmond for meetings and event support. Additional staff support will be provided at events. Some evening functions required. Minimal overnight travel required. Travel is scheduled well in advance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute multiple events per month, which range in size and scope from small sessions to larger events.
- Plan and execute individual event budgets annually. Abide by budgeting requirements to ensure financial success.
- Help maintain membership database and online event calendar.
- Responsible for selling sponsorships.
- Responsible for soliciting venues and vendors for all events.
- Work with Director of Marketing in developing marketing strategies and plans for each event.
- Coordinate, facilitate and record minutes for local Events & Education Committee and Advisory Committee
- Create and maintain relationships with management companies, apartment communities and vendor partners (in other words, members of the association)
- Will be integral part of membership development and initiatives that come out of committee planning.
- Work with membership coordinator on any membership initiatives.

Salary and Benefits:
- $42,000 – $47,000 annual salary (depending on association program/meeting planning experience).
- 15 days of PTO plus 12 paid holidays. Increase in PTO after 4 years of employment.

- Retirement plan and employer match up to 3%.
- Ability to purchase supplemental insurance through Colonial Life (I.E. Life insurance, disability, dental, accident…etc).
- Mileage reimbursement (over 60 miles round trip) at the IRS tax mileage rate.
- Laptop and cell phone to be provided by employer.
