Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Quality Engineer position with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Warren, MI.
SUMMARY:
The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.

A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for an area across a preproduction program.
- Building bodies for pre-production.
- Working with UAW employees with processing issues on build, problem solve the issues.
- Handing off solved issues to engineering.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Related or Equivalent Experience in Quality
- 2-4 years experience required.
- Ability to handle many tasks and juggle priorities
- Ability to work with UAW represented Hourly Technicians & Program Team Engineers at many levels of the organization
- Ability to create and run Issue Resolution Meetings
- Ability to solve problems using the first 4 diamonds of the 7 diamond issue resolution process 1) Right Part to Bill of Material 2) Right Tool & capable tooling 3) Right Process 4) Part to spec in fit, form and function
- Ability to use MS Office Suite and learn multiple GM specific software programs.
- Ability to use MS Office Suite and learn multiple GM specific software programs.
- Preferred Work Schedule: On Site work daily M-F. 2nd shift position, 40 hour base work week with some required daily and weekend overtime.
