The Restorix- AMT Clinical Specialist (CS) is responsible for delivering the company’s mission to a territory of Post Acute Nursing facilities. Clinical, education, administrative and customer service responsibilities encompass the day to day of this role. The QSR will report directly to the Post-Acute Regional Clinical Manager (RCM) while working closely with the Clinical Delivery management team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES
- Assist one or more Clinical Specialists (CS) in the provision of the Company’s wound care program to various healthcare facilities.
- Assist facilities with wound care evaluation and treatment recommendations via virtual rounds with the Territory CS at the various healthcare facilities.
- Be able to perform EMR checks for pre-call planning.
- Confirm evaluation and treatment recommendations with healthcare facilities staff members.
- Schedule monthly visits/rounds with various healthcare facilities to facilitate the timely ordering of products.
- Investigate skin sheets and interview facility staff to determine all eligible wounds the Company can provide products for and facilitate the provision of those products by communicating with on-call CS to place the order.
- Provide written and/or electronic educational pieces to the healthcare facilities as needed to supplement their knowledge of wound healing and current standards of practice and coordinate the scheduling of in-person educational activities for CS to perform at facilities quarterly.
- Communicate with staff members associated with various facilities, i.e., doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, licensed practicing nurses, certified nursing assistants, administrators, family members, or any individual directly involved with resident care to ensure efficient, safe, and effective coordination of treatment.
- Assist RCM/Regional Managers (RM)/CS and management with prospecting efforts; for example: gather information in person, by phone, or Internet to help identify qualifying leads
- Complete Uniquely One AMT Training Program.
- Read and adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
- Submit orders to the on-call Clinical Specialist for processing in a timely manner.
- Obtain all appropriate physician signatures in required amount of time.
- Return all obtained physician signatures to the corporate office.
- Maintain and safeguard all patient records as indicated and required by the Company program and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Complete and submit all necessary reports to RCM/RM/CS, Management, and corporate office.
- Comprehend, understand, and communicate Medicare B & Managed care eligibility requirements.
- Complete all necessary and appropriate paperwork in a timely manner.
- Attend company-related meetings and in-services as required.
- Participate in team calls.
- Complete NCP tabs, Visit Tabs, and know how to check eligibility on every patient.
- Competent with assigned Medicare region rules and product limits – also various MCO rules/formularies/limitations
- Proactively and by the deadline provided, attend to and fulfill appeals/audit documentation requests.
- Assist other team members with coverage during vacation and sick time.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in appropriate educational programs.
- Communicate regularly with RCM/RM/CS, communicate with other team members as needed.
- Participate in individual and team reviews in addition to quality improvement programs as directed by supervising staff.

- Associate degree or higher
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry and EMR software.
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, as well as interpersonal skills to enable communication and collaboration with physician, patients, families, and ancillary staff
- Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to make sound, independent clinical judgements.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Act professionally as a representative of the Company.
- Ability to treat others respectfully and work in an ethical manner.
