Location: 1 Waterbury opening & 1 Norwalk opening

Hours: M-F 8:00-4:00 FLEX (full-time)

Salary: $42,000/annually

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree and Recovery Support Specialist certification or ability to apply for RSS certification

Travel Requirements: Around 150-175 biweekly (Mileage reimbursement)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide vocational supports using the Individual Placement and Support Evidence Based Model to clients referred through the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
  • Assisting clients in finding integrated, competitive employment.
  • Network to identify opportunities in the individual's preferred field through job developing
  • Provide supplemental training for the clients on the job
  • Support to help clients maintain their employment.
  • Goal setting, resume writing, interview skill building, and soft skills and job coaching,
  • Provide transportation to clients to job sites for interviews in a safe manner.
  • Consistently and accurately completing all required Ability Beyond and funder documentation to expected standards.
  • Provide ongoing follow up for each job placement including site visits and arranged meetings away from work sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the human service field. May substitute no less than eight (8) years of related work experience for the Bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Individual with Recovery Support Specialist certification or individuals with lived experience in mental health recovery and willing to gain RSS certification required.
  • Requires daily use of registered, insured vehicle for transportation of clients served
  • Experience or interest in human services or health services preferred
