Job Description:
Optim Medical Center - Tattnall is seeking a full time (1st Shift) Registration Clerk for our Reidsville location.
Job Requirements:
- Arranges for the efficient and orderly registration of any and all patients who present for service.
- Obtains correct patient demographic information.
- Obtains insurance information.
- Verifies insurance coverage and benefits.
- Obtains signatures on any consents as required.
- Scans photo IDs, insurance cards, consent forms, and other documentation as necessary.
- Informs patients of hospital policies and procedures as necessary.
- Distributes applicable information to ancillary departments based on services rendered.
- Answers switchboard as necessary.
- Collects co-pays, unmet deductibles and coinsurance as applicable.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Works evening, nights and weekends as required (rotate weekends).
- Works 12 hour shifts.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
