We are an independently owned and operated, semi-custom, luxury homebuilder. We have been extremely successful in the San Antonio and surrounding area market for over 25 years. We offer multiple communities with available lots for customers to build on, ready to purchase inventory homes, and a build on your own lot program.

We build custom homes, but in an organized way. The buyer makes 99% of their changes up front before the home starts allowing you to build the home as drawn rather than stopping to get the buyer to make changes during the process.

New-Home Construction Superintendent

If you are looking for a family oriented company where you are not just a number, or want to work for a company big enough to act and look like a real home-builder, look to Whitestone Homes. We are looking for a person that can move up rapidly in this fast growing company. Compensation is based on experience. Multiple bonus programs are available, established on profit margin, production timelines, and customer satisfaction. Health Insurance benefits are available, as well as paid vacation days. Education requirements are also dependent on experience, and vice versa. Hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm, in the San Antonio and surrounding areas.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Homebuilding. The number 1 objective of the superintendent is to further production on started homes. You are successful if you have someone working on the jobsite daily, and if you move through the construction phases regularly. This includes site-prep and ordering utility and maintenance services.

2. Trade/Sub-contractor/vender management. Recruit, hire, established agreed compensation, schedule, manage, and process payroll for all trades associated with your jobs.

3. Customer Service. Conduct a minimum of (4) customer meetings, under the parameters outlined in Whitestone's Agreement of Sale. Set accurate, up-front expectations for availability and response times for customer questions throughout the build. Perform to the communication expectations that you set. Partner with the Sales Counselor in your area to ensure timely updates and short turnaround for questions and concerns. Support each other, and stay on the same side.

4. Attend a weekly construction meeting to provide detailed updates on all jobs. Be ready to report stage moves, explain delays, outline next steps for the upcoming week, and establish realistic date goals for buyer walks and construction completion.

5. Maintain a paper squares/calendar schedule, and a milepost timeline on all jobs, updated regularly, and bring it to all construction meetings. Blank copies are provided for you.

6. Warranty. If needed assist in processing warranty claims, scheduling inspections and repairs, and obtaining homeowner sign-off.

7. Monthly meeting with the Office Manager for construction loan draws.

8. Schedule 3rd party inspections when applicable.

9. Comply with any and all company requirements as outlined in the Employee Manual and Agreement of Hire.
