Peninsula Pediatrics is seeking an experienced and assertive medical assistant for a private practice located in Rockaway Park, NY. This is a full time position requiring 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients into the office with open arms and a smile.
• Performing patient assessments and obtaining vital signs.
• Performing and documenting patient intake (temperature, height, weight, head circumference, etc.)
• Completing medical forms including school and day care forms.
• Monitoring and ensuring efficient patient flow at all times.
• Performing in office procedures such as strep and flu tests, viral testing; urinalysis; nebulizer treatments; finger stick blood draw, etc.
• Ensuring exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patients.
• Assisting with light housekeeping duties which include spills.
• Stocking exam rooms/treatment rooms with medical supplies and designated chart forms.

• Has pediatric experience.
• Is a good multi-tasker.
• MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND BE A CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT.
