Rock Star Medical Assistant for Community Pediatrician Job at Peninsula Pediatrics
Peninsula Pediatrics is seeking an experienced and assertive medical assistant for a private practice located in Rockaway Park, NY. This is a full time position requiring 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients into the office with open arms and a smile.
- Performing patient assessments and obtaining vital signs.
- Performing and documenting patient intake (temperature, height, weight, head circumference, etc.)
- Completing medical forms including school and day care forms.
- Monitoring and ensuring efficient patient flow at all times.
- Performing in office procedures such as strep and flu tests, viral testing; urinalysis; nebulizer treatments; finger stick blood draw, etc.
- Ensuring exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient leaves and prepared for the next patients.
- Assisting with light housekeeping duties which include spills.
- Stocking exam rooms/treatment rooms with medical supplies and designated chart forms.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Displays sensitivity to the needs of patients, visitors and coworkers.
- Remains calm and continues to communicate effectively in stressful situations.
- Functions as a respectful member of the health care team.
- Has pediatric experience.
- Is a good multi-tasker.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND BE A CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
