WE Transport is immediately hiring school bus drivers in Nassau County of Long Island.

CDL is a plus in our hiring process, but FREE CDL training is available.

What We Offer: FLEXIBILITY

• Split-Shift- Mornings and Afternoons!
• Guaranteed 25-30 hours per week.
• FREE Training to prepare for CDL Permit.
• $750 bonus when you train with us and receive your CDL.
• $2,500 Sign-on-Bonus for any hired fully licensed NY CDL Driver who has an A, B or C license with P & S endorsements.
• Starting salary up to $24.50/hr for Van & up to $28.50/hr for Bus.

Job Summary

• Operate school bus to transport authorized passengers to and from school programs in a safe and timely manner following prescribed route(s).
• Assess traffic and road conditions, monitor student behavior and other factors as necessary.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws while operating vehicle. Adhere to DOT and state safety and district requirements and standards while operating yellow school bus.
• Maintain proper CDL and state school bus certifications including adhering to state and federal guidelines regarding criminal, medical, drug test and driving records.
• Assist passengers onto and off the vehicle when necessary.
• Perform daily pre and post trip vehicle inspections and safety checks as required by company standards and state guidelines.

Job Requirements

• Drivers must be at least 21 with 1 year driving experience
• NYS CDL A, B with P & S endorsements for Bus
• NYS CDL C with P & S for vans
• Must have driver’s license to enter CDL permit training (we train you!)
• Ability to pass drug test and background check
