Prince Manufacturing Corporation is a U.S. manufacturer of hydraulic components specializing in cylinders, mobile valves and gear pumps. The Yankton, SD location is currently looking for a full-time Forklift Driver to work in a diverse manufacturing atmosphere.

• 
  Starting wage: $21.00 = $19.00 base + $2.00 shift premium for 2nd shift
• Progression increases available
• 2nd shift Monday – Thursday 3:30pm – 1:30am
• No weekends or holidays

Job Summary:

Using a forklift to unload, load and move products throughout the plant.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is not a supervisory role.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to pick, issue and transfer material as required by production.
• Drives sit-down Bendi forklifts.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Comply with company policies to help maintain a safe, orderly work environment.
• Reports safety hazards, quality concerns, and production issues to manager as soon as they occur.
• Moves materials around the facility using pallets and crates.
• Determines when repairs need to be made on equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to manually pick and move material from storage containers to totes, baskets and pallets within our lifting guidelines.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Qualified Forklift Operator (Must pass forklift written and driving test).
• Current Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
• The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and hazardous chemicals.

Orientation and Safety Training:

Must complete ISO Orientation for New Employees and Safety Training.
