Position Summary:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties on a professional level and working closely with senior HR management in supporting the organization. This position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

Please note, this is a part-time, contract position, with the expectation that the ideal candidate will be able to commit to 20+ hours per week.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The Senior Human Resources Generalist is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Conduct and manage the new hire onboarding for North America and Global employees, including IT equipment procurement, onboarding in our HRIS, employment verifications, background checks, I-9 verifications, and the HR new hire orientation.
  • Assist with the annual benefit review process, providing senior management with recommendations on benefit options and changes to ensure benefit level is best practice within the industry, and is as cost efficient as possible; create open enrollment communications, update and distribute all applicable documents and administer changes to benefits.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employee benefit plans (including RRSP and 401K plans) and insurance plans for the purpose of administration.
  • Assist employees with our HRIS and ATS systems and processes, including advising the HR team, managers, and employees regarding best use of the system. Support the HR team and AccelByte employees in troubleshooting & correcting operational issues within both systems.
  • Assist with the annual review cycles, managing the performance evaluation process to ensure timeliness and completeness; solicit feedback from managers on review content, make changes and updates in the system.
  • Ensure accurate documentation is received for employee changes including: payroll adjustments, wage increases, promotions, relocations, and new employee payroll information.
  • Assist and draft company communications as needed.
  • Answer employee questions regarding compensation and benefits, health & safety, company policies and HR best practices while ensuring strict confidentiality.
  • Oversee the offboarding process by ensuring all procedures are completed in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • 3 - 5+ years experience in a HRBP/ HR Generalist role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess great initiative, empathy and has a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Experience with multi-state, federal, state, local and provincial requirements highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to adjust to work routines/schedules, as required, to meet the needs of the company and expectations of customers.
