Spokane Galvanizing, Inc. is currently looking for a full-time Shipping & Receiving employee to join our family. Spokane Galvanizing is located in Airway Heights, WA and all interviews will take place at Spokane Galvanizing facility.

Summary: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records and reports shortages and discrepancies, and corresponds with S&R Lead to rectify damages and shortages. Routes checked incoming materials, supplies, or equipment to the stockroom, appropriate departments, or other areas. Prepares products or materials for shipment. Assembles shipping containers or selects pre-assembled containers, and inserts items to be shipped into containers. Affixes shipping labels, identifying information, and shipping instructions onto packed cartons or containers. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Operates lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from delivery trucks to storage or work areas. May perform only shipping or receiving activities, receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment, or receive unsold products returned and be designated accordingly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to carry out essential job functions, included but not limited to:

• Work directly with customers and drivers in courteous safe manner to ensure their product is picked up/delivered in a safe and timely manner
• Ensure that all incoming/outgoing material is accounted for and in good condition according to the pack list, BOL, invoice or customer paperwork
• Keeping the incoming and outgoing product yards organized and clear of any debris or clutter
• Assist maintenance in staging customer product that will need to be prepped prior to the galvanizing process.
• Ensure all customer product is organized and identified clearly and properly
• Stage customer product to be processed next as directed by the S&R Lead
• Conduct visual inspections of all finished product for quality, correct piece counts and free of damage

Work schedule:

Monday – Friday, day shift

Background check and Pre-employment drug & Medical screens will be required.

Compensation:

Starts at $18.00 per hour
