Job Summary:
As a Strategic Procurement Specialist, you will develop, implements, and maintain a commodity strategy that supports our overall supply chain goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop commodity strategies
- Prepare request for proposals (RFQ) for suppliers
- Evaluates and makes supplier selection
- Conducts commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Is responsible for key performance indicators for the suppliers
- Is responsible for cost reduction programs
- Acts as a liaison for all supplier issues and actions with other internal functions
- Is responsible for all aspects of supplier relationships
- Analyze industry and demand trends to develop sourcing strategies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or (2) years’ experience or 5+ years of Supply Chain / Purchasing experience
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work well across multiple teams
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with suppliers
- SAP experience preferred
- Intermediate with Microsoft Excel as well as use Excel daily in current or past position
