Swagelok interns are personally and professionally developed through full time associate support to achieve their highest potential while making meaningful contributions to the global Supply Chain.
- Over the course of 12-14 weeks, interns will lead supply chain projects that are focused on the continuous improvement of our processes and/or products.
- Each project deliverable contributes to the continued success of the organization and impacts financial, labor, or material improvements.
- Swagelok’s supply chain internship offers a holistic experience with a dual focus on both personal and professional growth.
- You will be challenged to apply and develop the technical and interpersonal skills needed to succeed for years beyond the internship experience.
- Not only will you be supported by your direct leader, but you will also have a formalized mentor and technical sponsors to support your growth throughout the experience.
- Along with working on challenging yet meaningful projects, Swagelok also offers opportunities for personal and professional development that includes but is not limited to networking, presentation & communication development, direct engagement with executive-level leadership, and competency development.
- Additional experiences outside of supply chain projects include tours of our 10+ manufacturing sites, hands on product training, off-site networking events, and exposure to full time opportunities post internship and graduation (Supply Chain rotational Career Development Program, CDP).
As a Supply Chain Intern, you will be exposed to many areas of Swagelok’s robust supply chain functions. Below is a list of different roles that our Interns have an opportunity to support during the program.
- Manufacturing/Assembly Planning – introduction to Swagelok’s supply chain, products, and ERP system (SAP)
- Sourcing – direct interaction with Swagelok’s suppliers, purchasing raw material and components to support manufacturing
- Customer Service – direct interaction with Swagelok’s network of Sales & Service Centers that sell direct to customers around the world.
- Supply Chain Analyst – multiple roles focused on inventory management, logistics, forecast/safety stock, etc.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
- Minimum of a sophomore year completion in a Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree program in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or Business Analyst.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
Preferred:
- Prior internship experience is preferred
- Analytical Skills / Excel knowledge
- Project Management capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
