Above the Bar Gymnastics Academy is looking for energetic, professional, qualified coaches for our growing programs! Our facilities - an 18,000sqft main gym and a 6000sqft rec/preschool/ninja gym – combined with a wonderful community reputation and a positive team atmosphere make this a great place to work. You will work with a people committed to providing an outstanding customer experience and a second-to-none, positive teaching environment.

We are looking for career minded recreational and team coaches to work with our growing recreational and girls JO and Xcel programs. Must be willing to give your all to help our programs grow!

GIRLS TEAM COACHES: Applicants must have excellent technical gymnastics and spotting skills, knowledge of USAG JO team program and desire to commit to the continued growth of our team programs. Competitive pay based on experience.

TEAM COACHING POSITION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• 2+ years compulsory/optionals team coaching experience preferred

• USAG Membership and USAG Safety Certified (preferred)

• Excellent safety record

• Must be able to pass reference checks and pre-employment screening (e.g. criminal history background checks)

• Experience coaching and teaching advanced gymnastics skills and routines

• Strong spotting skills

• Strong communication and personal relations skills to work with coaching peers, athletes and parents

• Ability to work well in a cooperative, team coaching environment

• A positive, enthusiastic and respectful manner

• A commitment to the high standards we are setting as a part of our program

RECREATIONAL COACHES: We are also seeking recreational coaches to work with children on basic gymnastics, strength, flexibility, and tumbling skills. Must be energetic, passionate, caring and have strong communication skills. Prior coaching, gymnastics or tumbling experience is a plus but not required. Must be able to pass reference checks and pre-employment screening (e.g. criminal history background checks) Hours, pay, and specific coaching responsibilities based on experience.
