Cell Microsystems, Inc, is a developer and manufacturer of innovative products for single cell workflows. The Company's lead products, the CellRaft AIR® System and the CellRaft® line of consumables, enable multiple discovery applications across a range of single cell methodologies, including CRISPR, ‘track and trace' clonal propagation, genomics, stem cells, and organoids. First launched in 2018, the Company's products have been purchased by leading academic, government, and pharma research organizations in the U.S. and Europe.
We are looking for exceptional candidates who can leverage scientific curiosity and technical skills as
part of a dynamic team developing and commercializing innovative products having a major impact single cell workflows including CRISPR gene editing, genomics, cell line development, drug discovery, and bioprocessing.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Technical Writer
The Technical Writer will have primary responsibility for user manuals detailing the Company's software and instrument products, as well as internal documentation used by the product development team, quality assurance team, customer support, and for external distributors of our products.
- Preparing technical documentation for both software and instrument products including their respective life cycles
- Managing document versioning, schedules, reviews, and approval process across the product line.
- Contributing to the achievement of critical milestones in software development, validation and systems integration for all automated platforms.
- Working with minimal direction toward predetermined goals and be able to quickly become proficient with new tools, software and hardware.
- Independently anticipate and resolve problems in a fast-paced development team environment.
- Be an outstanding employee on the team including the ability to work with software engineering, hardware engineering, biology R&D, and sales and service teams.
Must haves:
- B.S. or higher degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- One to three years of demonstrated experience in writing technical documentation
- Ability to quickly understand, explain, and write about complex technical concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe FrameMaker (or similar)
- Ability to deliver on tight deadlines
- Excellent composition and grammar skills.
- Love technical writing!
- Familiar with quality management system(s).
- Ability to work with contractors to translate manuals to other languages
- Must be able to work in the U.S.
