Transit Full-Time Driver in Broken Bow Job at LIFT Community Action Agency, Inc.
The Transit Driver drives a bus or motor coach, including regular route operations and private carriage. The Driver may assist passengers with carry-on items and collect fairs or tickets. Must be 25 years of age to qualify as a candidate due to insurance.
Duties and Responsibilities inlcude but are not limited to the following;
- Inspect vehicle; check gas, oil and water levels prior to departure.
- Drive vehicles over specified routes or to specified destinations according to schedules transporting passengers, complying with traffic regulations.
- Park at loading areas so passengers can board and exit. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vechicle. Assist ADA clients in and out of the transit vehicle which includes loading, unloading and securing mobility devices in the vehicle.
- Follow all operations in accordance with state and federal traffic laws. Complete log reports tp track hours of work according to USDOT requirements.
- Ensure safety of the passengers while in the vehicle and while loading and unloading.
