Job Summary
This position is part of Children’s Services which is responsible for all child welfare functions and programs. Work is primarily with families and children but may also include people who are elderly or disabled. Work involves working alongside individuals and families to further develop knowledge and understanding of child and family well-being and basic parenting skills. It also involves providing transportation to medical, social, and educational/employment resources, assisting with locating housing or job placements, and connecting with economic programs and community resources as needed. Documentation involves writing all contacts promptly and accurately and meeting deadlines for any required reports.
Work requires the frequent exertion of up to 25 lbs. of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force. Bi-lingual skills would be an asset but is not required.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience in human services work, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid NC driver’s license.
Salary
$15.00 per hour (40 hours per week through 06/2023)
