Other duties may be assigned or required by management. * Conducts daily staff meetings at the beginning and end of each day to direct workflow, gather ideas, and assess potential problem areas. * Oversees daily receiving and shipping functions to ensure accuracy and condition of product. Makes decisions and uses judgment to correct issues and redirect activities. * Oversees daily shipping functions to ensure that the product listed on the delivery slip is the product being loaded on the truck * Sets up and verifies receiving schedule to ensure timely receipt of product. * Interacts with purchasing to verify accurate quantity and product description are received. * Provides Customer Service Department with up-to-the minute product receipt. * Collects and approves driver logs where applicable. * Maintains vehicle and equipment. * Routes driver trips where applicable. * Coordinates special deliveries with drivers and customers when required. * Helps standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. * Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances. * Resolves errors and complaints through independent thinking and decision making. * Records and provides on-going feedback to employees regarding performance and attendance. * Reviews, approves, and submits hourly time cards to payroll department biweekly and temporary agencies *Supervisory Responsibilities: *Directly supervises employees in the Warehouse. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.
