Key Oil Company, located in Franklin, KY, is currently looking for an experienced Diesel Shop Manager and Lead Mechanic. In this role the successful candidate will manage our diesel shop facility in all capacities; perform tractor trailer repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards; run diagnostics on trucks; hire, train, manage and mentor other mechanics.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and mentoring all shop employees, including mechanics, safety technicians and wash crew
• Coordinating all service and repairs with office staff and drivers
• Performing diagnostics and repairs on diesel equipment
• Working with outside vendors to service and repair equipment as needed
• Driving and moving trucks and trailers
• Ordering and managing parts, tools and supplies
• Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, including DOT Safety Regulations
• Perform administrative duties as needed, including receiving and entering repairs on computer daily
• Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment
• Other duties as assigned

• Weekends as needed

Requirements:

• 3-5 years shop management experience
• 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience
• Must possess own tools & toolbox
• High professional behavior and work ethic in all aspects of management and performance
• Excellent reading and writing skills
• Class A CDL

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
