Position Summary
Our company is currently in need of a responsible individual with high energy to clean and maintain our facilities and provide a safe place for fans and employees. The right candidate will ensure the facility is maintained to our high standards. This person will be responsible for cleaning and maintenance in various areas of Greater Nevada Field. Being an effective communicator who can explain tasks is critical. The Facility Operations Coordinator needs to be physically able to perform any and all tasks they might need to handle when assisting and training staff.
Essential Duties
- Maintain the appearance of all areas of the ballpark including but not limited to the front plaza, parking lots, Upstairs at Greater Nevada Field, concourse, and seating bowl
- Supervise the part-time day or night custodial staff during games
- Train part-time staff on proper procedures
- Lead either the postgame or the pregame clean-up process
- Scheduling part-time staff during the season for gamedays and non-gamedays
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on the interviewing and hiring process
- Schedule staff as well as lead in the set-up/cleaning/breakdown of special events at Greater Nevada Field
- Keep in-use restrooms, janitor closets, and laundry rooms fully stocked
- Assist Operations department in various projects (painting, seat repair, changing light bulbs, etc.)
- Assist Operations department with winterization in the offseason (unstocking areas not being used, moving furniture, covering seats, etc.)
- Off-season deep cleaning of various areas (clubhouses, restaurants, etc.)
- Follow daily/weekly routine set forth by Facilities Manager
- Meet consistently with the Facilities Manager (normally once in the morning and periodically throughout the day/event)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Be able to work with cleaning chemicals
- Cleaning experience preferred
- Be able to communicate well in English
- Effective verbal communication skills and able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos
- Be able to work effectively with the public, other team members and supervisors in a diplomatic manner
- Completion of a satisfactory background check
Work Environment
- Work in fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work long hours, evenings and weekends
- Minimal travel required
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs
- Mobility and dexterity to make clean floors, dust all room surfaces, and clean restrooms
- Must have close, distance and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.50 per hour
