LPN or Experienced MA needed for busy surgery clinic! The LPN/MA functions under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, provides care and treatment to patients, and provides clinical support and technical assistance to other nurses and staff. We are looking for someone who is knowledgable and who is able to manage demanding workload with accuracy. The position requires excellent customer service skills with patients, patients families, other staff, physicians, vendors, and the public.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with patient office visits: including rooming patients, gathering health history, recording vital signs, patient referrals, scheduling appointments, answering phones, documenting changes in medical history.
• Assists physicians with office based procedures
• Safety: Sterilize using appropriate protocols, disposing of waste accurately, demonstrates proper hand washing technique, optimizing patient safety to reduce likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Room Organization and Cleaning: Setting up proper equipment for procedures, general cleaning, upkeep, and restocking of supplies.
• Customer Service: Field Patient and Surgical calls, document and respond accordingly.
• Administrative Tasks: completing FMLA and Recredentialing.
• Assist co-workers, other physicians and supervisor when necessary.
• Other Duties Assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• LPN license or Certified Medical Assistant
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff and other health care professionals.
• EHR experience
